“Neighborly Love Shines as Hundreds Surprise UPS Driver with Heartfelt ‘Thank You'”

This year, a UPS driver named Anthony Gaskin became a true hero in Chesterfield County, Virginia. Despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and the busy holiday season, Anthony delivered nearly 200 packages every day.

One resident, Patty Friedman, was particularly grateful for Anthony’s kindness when she moved in during the lonely days of the pandemic. She decided to express her appreciation and reached out to her neighbors to join in thanking him.

On December 15, the community came together in a heartwarming gesture. Over 75 cars and many residents gathered along the road, waiting for Anthony to drive by. When he finally appeared, people cheered, held up signs, honked their horns, and rang bells to show their gratitude.

Anthony, a humble man, was visibly moved by the unexpected tribute. He briefly spoke, expressing his thanks, and then continued with his work, delivering packages with the same care and friendliness that had won the hearts of the community.

One neighbor shared, “Anthony always wears a smile, waves, and goes the extra mile to deliver packages with a personal touch. He makes you feel like a friend. His deliveries brighten our day, and we truly appreciate him. Cheers to Anthony!”
